A little-known forest park a couple of miles eastward from Stewartstown, County Tyrone. Great for some long walks.
The evening light filters through Carndasiy Glen, located near Moneymore.
Not very often do you see robins in the summer, and I thought they looked quite different from the ones you normally see in the winter. They appeared duller and less fluffy.
The image above captures a close-up view of the hare, which emerged momentarily after I inadvertently frightened the buzzard away while attempting to capture a close-up of it perched on a long tree. Apparently, the wildlife animals on the ground waited in hiding while the buzzards were hovering around above. Additional Photos (Misc)
I took a stroll around the Drum Manor Forest Park. It is less than 4 miles from Cookstown, County Tyrone, on the A505 road to Omagh. There are many different walking and hiking routes, a walled garden, and a children’s play park.
While we are enjoying unusually dry and sunny weather during the 2nd half of March and now into April, it was only a couple of months ago that we had a beautiful frosty sunrise.

Buzzards are something I frequently see from my home. A pheasant was killed by one of them in front of my house a few years ago while we were away for the whole day. Having discussed this with a neighbour, it never occurred to me that the buzzard could kill pheasants. The buzzards usually keep…
