This pheasant is a regular visitor to my house, thanks to living in the countryside. Despite that, he’s still a difficult subject to photograph — he hides the moment he hears a sound or sees the slightest movement. He’s always so colourful, and I hadn’t managed a good full shot of him since 2024… until now.
As you can see, he was heading off the moment he spotted me, and then in the fourth picture he turned back — but much more cautiously.
While we are enjoying unusually dry and sunny weather during the 2nd half of March and now into April, it was only a couple of months ago that we had a beautiful frosty sunrise.

Not very often do you see robins in the summer, and I thought they looked quite different from the ones you normally see in the winter. They appeared duller and less fluffy.
