Irish Hare, April 2025
The image above captures a close-up view of the hare, which emerged momentarily after I inadvertently frightened the buzzard away while attempting to capture a close-up of it perched on a long tree.
Apparently, the wildlife animals on the ground waited in hiding while the buzzards were hovering around above.
The first few shots were a bit blurry due to the combination of a long telephoto lens and heat shimmer on the warm days. Furthermore, the dull lighting conditions in some of the pictures were unfavourable for the long (and slow) telephoto lens!
The first set of the photos were taken in various settings and lightings; most of them were in the evenings.
Additional photos in high quality (Better lighting)
Toward the end of April 2025, I managed to get some really good pictures of the hare in bright evening light. All of the photos were captured in the same setting. From these photos, you can clearly see the condition of the hare, especially the left eye and a mark near the nose.
I normally would crop these photos to get a closer shot, but the surroundings, particularly the dandelions in the evening light, are too beautiful to remove! 🙂
