Lough Fea, April 2026

Lough Fea is one of my favourite walks – a peaceful one-hour loop in the Sperrins, tucked between Cookstown and Draperstown. The trail is dotted with sheltered huts, making it a great all‑weather walk.

I hit it at the wrong time for photos: harsh midday sun and choppy water. But in warm, sunny weather, I couldn’t resist capturing it anyway. It’s even more beautiful at sunrise and sunset, when the light settles and the whole place feels calm.
